Websites for travel agencies and tour operators

I build websites for travel agencies, tour operators and trip planners, built around what a travel business actually sells: packages, seasons, destinations and quick enquiries on WhatsApp. I work from Kashmir, one of India's busiest holiday regions, for travel businesses here and anywhere else.

What a travel site needs

  • A page for every package
  • The trip length in every name
  • What's included, in plain words
  • WhatsApp beside every price
  • Policies people check before paying

What a travel website has to do

The longer version is in my guide on what gets a travel website enquiries.

Show the trips before anything else

Someone comparing operators wants to know what you sell before they read about you. Put packages first and put the length in the name, like a 6-night family tour or a 3-day trek. Give each package its own page so it can be shared on WhatsApp and found on Google.

Sell every season from one site

Most travel businesses sell different trips at different times of year. Split your packages into clear groups, such as winter, summer, honeymoon and family, so a skier never scrolls past honeymoon itineraries and a family never wades through treks.

Use the details travellers plan around

Travellers plan around airports, cable cars, permits, road openings and weather. Mention them. A package that says where the pickup is, what happens if a road is closed and which tickets are included answers the questions that would otherwise arrive one by one on WhatsApp.

Put the policies where people look for them

Terms, privacy and a cancellation and refund policy belong in the footer. People check them before they pay a deposit, and payment providers usually ask for them before they open an account for you.

Match your Google listing

Your website and your Google Business Profile should show the same name, address, phone number and opening months. When they disagree, travellers lose trust and Google has less reason to show your listing.

What I build for each kind of travel business

Planning one? The website cost calculator has a travel option and turns your answers into a summary you can send me.

Travel agencies

Destination pages, packages by length and theme, honeymoon and family trips, and a quick route to an enquiry from every page.

Adventure and trekking companies

Trek pages with the route, days, difficulty and fitness needed, plus the gear list and what the price covers.

Day trips and transfers

Routes, vehicles and pickup points for travellers who only need a driver for the day. More on my page for taxi and cab operators.

Stays sold with tours

If you also run a hotel or homestay, the rooms get their own section. See hotels and homestays.

Selling trips online?

Tell me what you sell, which season matters most and how enquiries reach you now. I'll suggest what the first version of your site should include.

Before each season, update these

A short checklist worth doing even if someone else looks after your site.

  • Package prices, dates and lengths for the coming season
  • Photos from that season at the top of the home page
  • Sold-out dates and finished offers taken down
  • Opening hours and a seasonal post on your Google listing
  • Your WhatsApp away message, for days you're out with guests

Questions travel businesses ask me

Can I change package prices and dates myself?

Yes, if the site is built on WordPress: you log in and edit the package like a document. On a plain HTML site you send me the change on WhatsApp and I publish it. Both work; it depends on how often your prices change.

Should my packages show prices?

If a package has a fixed price for the season, a starting price helps people shortlist you before they message. If the price depends on dates, group size or hotel category, say what changes it and ask them to enquire. Either way, show the length of the trip and what is included.

Do I need separate websites for different seasons or destinations?

Usually not. One site with clear sections for each season or destination keeps your Google ranking, your reviews and your enquiries in one place. Separate small sites split all three and are more work to keep up to date.

Can enquiries come straight to WhatsApp?

Yes. A WhatsApp link can open a chat with your number and a first message that names the package the visitor was reading, so you know straight away what they want.

Do I need a licence or registration shown on the site?

If you hold a tourism department registration, an IATA number or membership of a travel association, show it with the number, because travellers and payment providers both look for it. Don't show logos of bodies you don't belong to.

Selling trips and need more enquiries?

Send me your current site or your Google listing and the packages you sell most. I'll tell you what I'd change first and give you the price before I start.
